Travertine is a type of limestone that is formed by mineral deposits from natural springs. This sedimentary stone is formed by a fast precipitation of calcium carbonate, known as calcite. Other minerals mix together with the calcite to create the unique swirls and movement that give travertine its distinctive character.

They all come with the same thickness. This makes the library three times bigger. We consider them all to be different products but from the same material.
It’s fun to feel and touch these different textures, but of course they can also serve as functional elements. For instance, when you need a non-slip floor or you don’t want reflections on a wall for a particular reason.
The kinds of travertines we selected are a perfect choice for all people who love warm colors and unique textures. It’s a good way to show your style and uniqueness through your travertine surface finish. In addition you benefit from its natural strength.
What Makes Travertine Special
Travertine is one of the materials that have been used for many years. At Design Hub, what we’re trying to find new, are different tones that as designers we staged along the way in our career. There will always be the usual, but slightly lighter tones or even different colorations of travertines and it’s fun to play with. And even if you stitch them into each other, you know they are all travertine, but from a different country or a different quarry.
The beauty of travertine in itself is that it can provide completely different features. From quarrying it as a block to cutting it into sheets, depending on the cut itself, the veins and the built up of the material. You can either have a cross cut or a natural cut. We are also playing around with these different cuts and choosing the ones which we feel are needed to compete in the market. However, we are also trying to expand them to include various options.
Travertine tiles are very durable, they are water and moisture resistant. When handled with care they don’t crack easily. All that is needed is to maintain them in the right way. This will keep your residential or commercial space in a good condition for a long time. These tiles do not need as much maintenance as other natural stones do.
